Questions
What facility managers ask us
The roof
How long does a TPO or PVC roof last?
Roughly 20 to 30 years, depending on the system, the building and how it is looked after.
TPO or PVC?
TPO suits most roofs. PVC is the choice under grease and chemical exhaust. Your bid names which and why.
Can you roof over my old roof?
Only if it is dry and sound. Core samples and a moisture scan tell us before we bid.
The job
How do you protect tenants and occupants?
Sections, a schedule, notices and marked walkways. Your bid names them.
Do you pull the permit?
Where the City of Toledo or the township requires one for the work, yes. The bid says who pulls it.
What do you need to write a bid?
The address, building type, roof age and any drawings or past reports, then a site visit.
Warranty and care
Who warrants the roof?
The membrane maker warrants the material and we warrant our workmanship, each in writing. Terms, limits and exclusions are in the written warranty.
Is a care plan insurance?
No. It is a service contract for surveys, reports and leak response.
How do I cancel a care plan?
Write to the office with 30 days' notice. Surveys already done are billed.
Leaks
Who answers when the roof leaks at night?
Contract customers reach an on-call coordinator at any hour. Others reach the office from 7 a.m. on weekdays. After-hours call-outs cost more, at the rate in your contract.
A question we didn't answer?
Call the office or send the form.
